Funding community initiatives in the Black Hills

Our 4% donations to Black Hills Parks and Forests Association funded building fixtures for a new gateway community building.

A gateway community building can serve as a vital link between visitors, the park, and the surrounding community. It can educate travelers on responsible recreation before they enter the park, help manage visitor flow to reduce environmental impact. The building can also foster collaboration between the Park Service, nonprofits, and residents, hosting programs that strengthen community engagement and stewardship. Additionally, it can celebrate local culture and serve as a model for sustainable, resilient design that benefits both people and the landscape.
