Tracking Collars in Badlands National Park

Tracking Collars in Badlands National Park

A fairly recent expansion to Badlands National Park has enabled the 1,200+ American Bison that roam within access to 22,000 acres of new grazing land. Now with more than 80,000 acres to do what they do best, they continue their contribution to the greater ecosystem as an indispensable component. Wild Tribute's 4 the Parks donations helped purchase tracking collars to monitor the herd's movement and how the herd utilizes the land. Click here to learn more about this effort and the keystone species that is so much more.

Founded in 1959, Badlands Natural History Association is a not-for-profit organization established to support education and research efforts at Badlands National Park.
