The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) was created by the Department of Agriculture in 1905 to manage and protect our vital watersheds and timber supplies. Despite the herculean task of watching over 188 million acres of pristine forest, wetlands, and grasslands, the USFS seemingly remains under appreciated and underfunded.
The National Forest Foundation (NFF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and public enjoyment of our National Forests. Wild Tribute is proud to extend our continued relationship with the NFF by supporting its "50 Million For Our Forests" initiative. Plain and simple, the campaign's goal is to replant 50-million trees within the National Forest footprint.
Impressed by such gumption? Us too. Learn more about the initiative's contribution to the long-term health of our wild open spaces here. Also, it's worth noting all of Wild Tribute's designs featuring Smokey the Bear contribute an extra 10% on top of our standard 4% donation to the Forest Service!
The National Forest Foundation is the leading organization inspiring personal and meaningful connections to our National Forests, the centerpiece of America’s public lands. Working on behalf of the American public, the NFF leads forest conservation efforts and promotes responsible recreation. We believe these lands, and all they provide, are an American treasure and are vital to the health of our communities.
