The U.S. Forest Service was created by the Department of Agriculture in 1905 to manage and protect our vital watersheds and timber supplies. Despite having the herculean task of watching over 188 million acres of gorgeous wild forest, wetlands, and grasslands, the National Forests remain underappreciated and underfunded.
The National Forest Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and public enjoyment of our National Forests. And seeing as how Wild Tribute adventurers have covered extensive miles within these lands, we’re fortunate to be in a position to support their 50 Million For Our Forests Initiative to plant over 50 million trees on National Forest terrain this year.
The National Forest Foundation is the leading organization inspiring personal and meaningful connections to our National Forests, the centerpiece of America’s public lands. Working on behalf of the American public, the NFF leads forest conservation efforts and promotes responsible recreation. We believe these lands, and all they provide, are an American treasure and are vital to the health of our communities.
