Our 4% donations are helping fund Title One School Field Trips in Rocky Mountain National Park through the Rocky Mountain Conservancy.
Rocky Mountain National Park serves nearly 10,000 students every year, including over 4,500 students enrolled in the Title 1 program, which supports families whose incomes are below the federal poverty threshold. This request will provide much needed funding to help cover transportation costs for Title One Schools and under-resourced schools to visit Rocky Mountain National Park
Students living in urban areas will benefit from experiencing nature in a safe environment and learn about the animals and plants of Rocky Mountain National Park. As recent research has shown, students who participate in outdoor education programs, such as those offered by the park’s field trip programs, demonstrate improved social and stewardship skills in addition to physical and mental health.
