The Yosemite Climbing Association and the National Park Service have held the "Yosemite Facelift" volunteer project for 16-years and counting. Given the Valley's special place in our hearts, Wild Tribute takes great pride in supporting this commendable undertaking of public service. Established to remove trash and debris each fall season after a busy summer, it’s the largest organized volunteer effort within the National Park system .
Volunteers work throughout the park by cleaning roadways, river corridors, hiking trails, climbing routes, campsites, lodging areas, parking lots, and more. Over 3,000 people donate 11,000+ hours of their time and remove in excess 14,000 pounds of trash. You read that right, seven tons of trash. This is genuine, "hands on", get your hands dirty type work.
Every year, the Yosemite Climbing Association partners with the National Park Service and multiple industry sponsors to host Facelift, a service event during which volunteers clean up Yosemite National Park and promote climbers' and visitors' stewardship of Yosemite and our beloved public lands.
