- Studying the behavior and ecology of the bleached lizard of the Salt Dunes in Guadalupe Mountains National Park
- Document stories from American Indians who have ties to the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro National Historic Trail near Chamizal National Memorial
- Identify the causes and consequences of different patterns of resource use of two wood rat species whose ranges overlap in Great Basin National Park
