Youth Conservation Crew at Badlands National Park

Our 4% donations contributed to one week of labor for Badlands National Park's Youth Conservation Crew. This crew works with the National Park Service and the Northern Plains Exotic Plant Management Team. Together, they learn about and treat exotic invasive plants such as Canada Thistle and Russian Knapweed in the wilderness areas of the park. This initiative provides first-hand experience in resource management, training in the correct use of herbicides, and of course, empowers youth to pursue careers within the park service and conservation related fields.
