Funding the Amazing Discovery Pool in Arches and Canyonlands

Wild Tribute's 4 the Parks donations proudly have supported the Canyonlands Natural History Association’s Discovery Pool Research Grant Program. Since its inception in 2006, the Discovery Pool has awarded over $500,000 in grants to fund science based research on public lands in southeastern Utah.

These projects vary in subject matter and scope but all provide much needed funding to the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S.D.A Forest Service for important studies where previous funding did not exist.

The 2019 CNHA Discovery Pool projects include a small vertebrate study quarried on BLM land just outside of Arches National Park, a Triassic fossil study in Bears Ears National Monument and an alpine study on the effects of mountain goats that were introduced into the La Sal Mountains east of Moab, Utah.
