The Park Institute of America is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that seeks to maintain the integrity and vibrancy of America’s parks and ensure that the country’s valuable cultural and environmental resources endure.
Leveraging its network of National Park Service (NPS) alumni, other federal, state, and local park practitioners, and representatives from academia, business, and other cross-sector stakeholders, the Institute seeks to foster cohesion in strategically building the parks movement among the constellation of key players and interest groups.
The mission of the Institute is to champion parks and protected areas by increasing understanding through education, enhancing the exchange of ideas, and building momentum through partnerships.
