Restoring Glacier's Wild and Scenic Rivers

Restoring Glacier's Wild and Scenic Rivers

Our 4% donations helped hire personnel to monitor resource conditions and educate visitors in Glacier's recommended wilderness and along Glacier's wild and scenic rivers. The staffing will maintain and rebuild visitor used facilities at campgrounds and heavy day use sites throughout Glacier's wilderness.

The funding for this project will also be used to create a video and a podcast episode to reach visitors before they arrive in the Park. These multimedia creations will give visitors an introduction to the meaning of wilderness in Glacier, the special attributes that the resource has to offer, and the ways visitors can help protect wilderness character.

Lastly, money will be used to either host staff trainings for wilderness management, or to be able to send staff to trainings hosted at other venues, in order to create a stronger wilderness culture at Glacier.
