Barkeater Trail Alliance is in the process planning and seeking approvals and funding for two major trail projects in 2023.
The first is a new downhill mountain bike trail with jump features at Craig Wood. This project will involve a professional trail building company supported by BETA Trail Crew and volunteers, and is pending approval by the Town of North Elba.
The second is further development of a family-friendly singletrack trail system on state lands directly adjacent to the hamlet area of Saranac Lake and the Adirondack Rail Trail. This project will be led by the BETA Trail Crew and is pending approval by NYSDEC.
