Surplus in form of anything beyond what remains after expenses are subtracted from income is not necessarily a welcome aspect to our business. Stagnant inventory or excess product due to one reason or another raises alarm bells. Saying that, we've been fortunate to find the upside of this surplus (or excess) by partnering with the Utah Chapter of Volunteers of America ("VOA").
The VOA's Youth Resource Center serves at-risk youth, ages 15-22, along the Wasatch Front. Our product donations provide a confidence-building shopping experience where individuals are able to procure in-style, quality apparel at no charge while opening unsuspecting eyes to our National Parks and public lands.
